New Archery Magic items
Firstly, these rules are unofficial and at the time of writing, untested (of course if you've used them, tell me how they went, if you and your opponent found them fair). They were made because of the call for more magical wood elf bows and arrows. If You've made your own magical bows and arrows, please E-mail them to me so that I can post them here for the whole world to use.
There are 2 costs for the magic arrows. The first one is the cost to buy one of these arrows. If you buy one arrow, it is treated as having the "One Use Only" ability at the bottom. The second cost is for a set of arrows that last the whole game. If there is a dash in either of these costs, you may not pay that cost. These Items may only be fired out of a longbow and not a magic bow. Note that Magic Arrows count towards the character's magic allowance but count as Enchanted Items, not weapons so that you can take as many different arrows as you want as well as a magic sword (but no magical bows). Finally, any number of characters may take the same magic arrow (To Wood Elves, magic arrows are quite common) and one character may take multiples of a single arrow but you may only use 1 arrow (Magic or non-magic) per turn unless otherwise stated by the item. Magic Bows are also included here, they count as magic weapons, so follow the normal rules for them and also replace the character's standard longbow. All attacks from these Bows and arrows count as magical
Magic Bows
Hunter's Bow.................................100pts
This Bow has a 36" range and it's arrows hit at S4. It always hits and also counts as a poisoned attack.
Bow Of Loren.................................40pts
The Bow of Loren has a 36" range. It fires a number of shots equal to the bearer's attacks at his strength. All shots must be directed at the same target.
Blessed Bow.................................40pts
30" range, S3. Arrows shot from this bow are unaffected by any negative modifiers to hit.
Bow of Quickfire.................................20pts
The Bow of Quickfire has a 36" range. It fires 2 arrows at S3. Both shots must be directed against the same target.
Bow of Seeking.................................20pts
The Bow of Seeking has a 30" range and S3. The bearer gets +1 to hit with all shots fired from this bow.
Bow of Swiftness.................................15pts
The Bow Of Swiftness has a 30" range and S3. The Bearer may move and fire without penalty.
Magical Arrows
Arrow of slaying.................................30pts/100pts
The Arrow of Slaying will always hit on a 2+. It has Killing Blow, S5, and may not be saved by regular armour.
Arrow of Dodging.................................15pts/50pts
This arrow is not affected by modifiers for cover. It may even be shot if the bearer has no Line Of Sight.
Hunting Arrow.................................10pts/30pts
This arrow hits at S4.
Poisoned arrow.................................10pts/30pts
Hits from this arrow count as poisoned attacks
Arrow of Penetration.................................5pts/20pts
Enemies hit by this arrow will get a -1 armour save in addition to other armour save modidfiers.
Blessed Arrow.................................2pts/10pts
Hits from this arrow count as magical.
