Equipment: Hand Weapon, Longbow, Rod of Divination
Wizard: Naieth is a level 3 wizard and may choose her spells from the beasts and life lores.
Treesinging: Like all Wood Elf wizards, Naieth has the treesinging ability. For more information, see the 2003 Annual Wood Elf list
Prophetess: After generating her spells, Naieth may choose to replace one of her spells with "Second sign of Amul" (Spell 1, Heavens lore).
Rod of Divination: The Rod of Divination allows Naieth to reroll 1 of her own casting or dispel dice in each magic phase. She must accept the second result even if it is worse than the first. This cannot be used to prevent miscasts.
Othu the Owl: Othu the Owl is Naieth's familiar. She uses it not only to channel energy, but also as a useful scout. It also has the ability to form telepathic bonds with beings other than Naieth, allowing them to see through Othu's eyes. Naieth commonly commands Othu to fly somewhere while bonded with the champion or leader of a unit of archers, or anyone else in her army, allowing them to see over intervening obstacles and giving them a clearer shot
At the beginning of each Wood Elf shooting phase Naieth may command Othu to bond with anyone in the Wood Elf army. This model and all others in the same unit may target enemies that they cannot see (so have no line of sight to), as long as they are still within range. This confers an additional -1 to hit penalty, since evin if you can see a unit it's still hard to hit them if they are behind a cliff or tree!! This ability only works for standard longbows and not magical bows or arrows. It also may not be used twice on the same unit in consecutive turns.
