My 1,000 point Wood Elf Army
Here's My normal army. I often play 1,000 point games and this is quite efective against other armies. The Treeman should be able to hold his own against enemy monsters or characters, the Dryads and Wardancers are so versatile that they should be able to beat nearly anything, and the archers can hang back and pick off anything that could be a threat. My favourite tactic for the characters is to weave them through the enemy's troops, not getting into combat. Meanwhile, Dylandril picks off enemies from the units, while Wythel uses Life lore spells (they're more offensive than Beast lores, especially if you keep the mage within about 6") on anything that comes within range. This should frustrate an opponent into doing something rash. Once I had a Slann with a big unit of Temple guard turning in circles, trying to charge Wythel, while my mage was just moving out of sight range again. It is important though to keep them out of sight though.
